Fuska Bites
Skills • Dignity • Livelihood
Enterprise over dependency.
A Transition to Independence
Fuska Bites is a social enterprise under Better Hope Foundation that combines livelihood creation with sustainable impact. At its core, it is a food venture — serving one of Bangladesh’s most loved street foods — while functioning as a hands-on training platform for street-connected children.
Through Fuska Bites, young participants receive practical, real-world experience in food preparation, hygiene standards, customer service, and small business operations. Under the guidance of trained chefs and supervisors, children learn by doing—gaining skills that are directly transferable to restaurants, catering services, or their own future food businesses.
The Transition Model
"This is not a permanent workplace. It is a transition space."
Each year, trained participants are supported to move forward — securing jobs in food establishments, apprenticeships, or starting independent fuchka stalls of their own. As new participants enter the programme, others graduate with skills, confidence, and earning potential.
